January 21-27, 2019 monitoring and follow-up visit in WSU
Dr Wondimu Wolde, President of Wolaita Sodo University having a discussion with Associate Professor Pat Gibbons, principal coordinator of BRTE programme, on the progress made on the enabling critical infrastructure (work-package 2) for innovative educational products sharing and joint research undertaking.
The purpose of the visit was to monitor progress of the BRTE programme. More specifically the team aimed to:
- Introduce the Co-tutelle template for the BRTE PhD programme (work package 4) and agree conditions of engagement for both institutions;
- Report on progress of the 14 PhDs candidates and agree studies to progress to registration in both UCD and WSU;
- Monitor progress on WP 2 (building and enabling environment) and WP 3 (education); and
- Brief programme stakeholders in Ethiopia on BRTE progress and seek their ongoing support.
